Important document of the "Vienna Secession". The most charming coloured lithographs by Remigius Geyling (Austrian painter and stage designer 1878-1974) are printed on boards. Much alike the Wiener Werkstätte is this publication probably the lovliest viennese "dance-gift" from around 1900. Outstanding document of the viennese Art Nouveau. The expressive illustrations show scenes from the Viennese history.- With the mostly missing orginal illustrated box, bound by W. Melzer, Vienna. - The Ball was held to commemorate the second conquest of Vienna by Napoleon and showing an illustration score by Hadyn and commemorating events in Vienna during the Napoleoni War of 1809.The very delicate Box on upper and lower spine very slightly chamfered, one loop missing, else a fine copy. - Cat. Wien um 1900, no. 591; Volmer II, 235.- The iconic ladies'program for the 1909 Ball der Stadt Wien.
